Yes, you should work to break out of the pentatonic boxes because that's the path to total fretboard freedom. But if you're currently stuck, make the most of it! Work to create interesting phrases that are musical and connect as you move through a blues progression. That will build your confidence on the fretboard and give you some skills to lean on once you do finally make it to other positions.
