In this guitar lesson learn how to play the main riff to the groovtastic The Hard They Come by Stevie Salas.

Taken from Stevie Salas' 1990 debut solo album, Colorcode, this is a fave song of mine with an awesome riff. Mr Salas is a fantastic player and songwriter and I remember watching the video for this song way back in the day loving the fact he changed guitar every shot. :D

This is a great riff for working on funky strumming n' riffin' where you want certain notes to pop out amongst a funky muted string rhythm, requires the picking hand to nice and loose and the left dampening those unneeded strings.
