I'm sure, like me, you're most likely still in a state of shock about Jeff Beck's sudden passing last night. I had only just seen him live a few months ago and he was on immense form, seemingly ageless as he took us all on a majestic musical journey.
The guitarist, guitarist's guitarist! Jeff Beck was a true legendary virtuoso and had an instantly recognisable voice on the instrument, he bent the guitar to his will and created some of the most beautiful and aggressive sounding guitar pieces ever on the Electric guitar.
He will be sorely missed.
RIP Jeff Beck.
As a tribute I've recorded this special off the cuff MasterThatRiff! lesson looking at how to play one of my favourite Jeff Beck guitar moments, the main riffs from Led boots from his groundbreaking Wired album.
