In this MasterThatRiff Lesson we look at how to play Straight Through the Heart by Dio from the classic Holy Diver album.
I was listening to some Dio earlier this week and thought it would be great to look at how to play one of my favourite Vivian Campbell Dio era riffs. What I love about this riff is its really heavy vibe which mostly comes from Vivian C's use of inverted power chords ala Blackmore and of course that little cheeky pinched harmonic bend with the palm muted descending run.
