This is how you can get the divebomb sound on your guitar and how to use it in your own guitar licks.
Leigh shows us how to use divebombs as part of our solo techniques and breaks down how to get the divebomb whammy bar technique as used by Van Halen, Dimebag Darrell, Iron Maiden's Dave Murray and Steve Vai.

What is the divebomb guitar technique?
The divebomb guitar technique is a way of playing a note by quickly lowering the pitch of the note while sustaining it. This can be done with either a clean tone, but sounds WAY better with distortion. There are many ways to do this technique, but in this beginner's guide to divebombs, we will explore how to do it with a cranked amplifier using the 7 major styles of divebombs found in almost every 80s metal album you'll ever hear. Watch as Leigh also provides tips on how to get the most out of your divebomb guitar technique so that you can use it in your own music with examples of guitar licks that use divebombs.
Watch as Leigh also explains how to use Pinch harmonics, also called “squealies” or “pinch squeals,” in conjunction with a whammy bar - one of the most fun and gratifying sounds to get out of your guitar.
